I am a Product Design & Technology graduate from Loughborough University where I have completed a range of projects from an Aeropress Coffee Machine to a Protective and Diagnostic Scrumcap for Concussions (my FY project). I spent my placement year completing a 6-month study exchange at TU Delft and then a 6-month internship at Exxentric AB in Stockholm, Sweden.
Living in 3 different countries overseas, moving abroad is nothing out of the ordinary for me. This continued when I came to the UK to start my Bachelor's degree and I am eager to continue to explore new places.
My experiences living abroad have had a significant impact on my perspective and creative approach as experiencing different cultures and ways of life has broadened my understanding of the world and influences my design choices.
Two years ago, I immersed myself in the realm of rugby, uncovering not only a new affection for the sport but also a vibrant community that accompanies it. I value the physical exertion and camaraderie inherent in team sports.
Since then I have played for three different teams spread across three different countries: SRC Thor - Delft, Exiles - Stockholm, Loughborough 3's - UK.
One of my long standing interests is travelling, which has been a constant throughout my life. I thoroughly enjoy exploring new places, immersing myself in different cultures, and savouring diverse cuisines.
As of now, I have visited more than 20 countries and plan to keep expanding that tally!
One of my favorite pastimes is cooking, where I find peace in preparing a delicious meal, particularly when paired with the perfect music or podcast.
Amidst the lockdown, I rediscovered my passion for knitting - an artistic outlet that helps me relax outside of academic pursuits and keeps me away from my phone while creating something tangible.
Moreover, my love for diverse sports dates back to high school, where I was frequently playing football, netball, and volleyball. Weekends were often spent sailing and going on jungle treks.
